Actually you can concentrate on mind games and forget about execution.

Also if you have no much free time u can still beat guys who play this game a lot more than you. And that only option to do that.

+ you can change character any time, coz learning new character tooks like half hour).

I haven't seen many people who are actually having fun with it, but I do get asked by new players constantly 'how to play it like normal.'

If you look at the FAQ protips during arcade mode, it spells out that the main purpose of the mode is to ease people into the game, so they can graduate to normal once they find a character they like.

Don't you get matched against others who are also using it?

No, just usual matchmaking vs all guys stylish and technical in both games.

30% extra damage received is a big disadvantage, and the auto-combo options are optimized to keep you safe, but not much else. Glad to hear you are having fun with it, but it is definitely worth it to learn technical mode (eventually).

20% extra damage. But since every hit is auto combo U never even notice that). Also character auto block when staying so cross ups (like Faust doors) have no effect.

Stylish also removes your capability to air dash. Combined with the extra damage you take, it kinda limits who you can really use. Bedman is not a bad choice.

To be honest I want an semi-stylish mode.
No auto combo and other hand holding.
Just simplified command and nothing else.
Like S**sh B**t***s from *int*nd*.

Pretty much everyone who plays ASW games seriously doesn't care about ranked matches (because the matchmaking doesn't work very well with small playerbase, lobbies are superior for repetitive matches, andhaving mindgames against the same opponent is more entertaining than random opponents), so "being rank X" with Stylish doesn't mean much.

I don't ever remember losing to stylish player (though remembering even playing against them is really hard since they are so rare); having Stylish doesn't improve your neutral skills (ie. movement and choice of normals/specials as pokes) and the extra damage that comes from actually effective starters (eg. confirming counterhits for huge combos) really delivers the pain on top of the 20% defense penalty.

Like already said, Stylish is only useful for very casual play. As a party game with both players picking random stylish character it might be fun, but otherwise it's only limiting yourself.

Use it. In fact I wish more people would use it instead of worrying that the mean people online are going to laugh at them for using it.

I used to play Blazblue exclusively in Stylish mode before I bothered learning these games for "real" because I hated "special commands" and thought of it as needlessly complexity when a single directional could work. I still haven't changed my opinion of that (also hello SP button) but in the end I sat down and found learning motions and executing motions isn't hard at all even on a controller.

That said I haven't really payed attention to stylish mode in GG but I'm assuming like Blazblue some characters are just outright trash in it, like I remember meter reliant characters such as Hakumen and Tsubaki using their meters whenever available which was complete arse and the less said about stylish carl the better. On the other hand you had Kagura who's charged motions no longer needs charging and Tager with standing 720s...

Sounds good to me but I guess their actual answer to this is Jack-o. :summerghost:

Stylish gives you access to 'safe' autocombos, and quick activation specials and command normals. You take 20% more damage in stylish mode, and movement feels stiff, with limited ability to punish mistakes, but it's not all gimped. The end goal here was for ARC to find some kind of middle ground to graduate complete beginners in PvP (the heart of the genre) fighting,

Play stylish for a bit, figure out what characters you like, win or lose, then do the missions and combo tutorials for her/him, and get back out there without the stylish crutch.

Call me weird but I play fighting games to have a nice fun match I rarely ever get mad in a game unless it is the computer button reading me

I am a fighting game lover and also a big car and motorsport fanatic so I will try to give you a 'somewhat' reasonable example by comparing them, so bear with me:

Stylish Mode and Technical Mode is pretty much like Automatic Gearbox and Manual Gearbox in cars imho.

The former (Stylish / Automatic) is better for beginners and feeling good without having to learn some of the crucial advanced stuff but you will not be 'competitive' with it later on because it gimps your mindgame and mixup options (pretty much like automatic gearbox where you can not decide when to down/upshift which is not important for casual driving but severely limits your potential in an actual race on a racetrack).

The latter (Technical / Manual) is more demanding to learn with a higher learning curve at first but also gives you more potential once you learn it, you have much more control and options available at any given time (race car example: early downshift to maximize speed and weight distribution through corners).

Let us also not forget that there are way more factors and techniques that come into play besides the differences between these two modes that can decide the outcome of the game/race, e.g.: FD Brake, Burst Baiting, IAD, Option Select etc., the same is true in motorsport with stuff like Trail Braking, Scandinavian Flick, Inner Line Defense, Slipstreaming etc.

tl;dr: GIT GUD, STOP USING 'CASULZ MODE', it is only a crutch for you in the future, Vassago and Penguinator already gave you good reasons to leave it behind, trust me you will not miss it.
