Framerate problems playing online!
I am having a really hard time playing this game online om the PC version. My connection will go consistently from 2-3 bars in a lobby for a second then sink into 0 for most of the session. This is one of the few fighting games the game tends to run at 40 FPS at best online though most of my matches are at worst a delay of 4-5. Offline game runs perfect at rarely dropping from 60.

it feels bad cant get into this game like I would like too. I am not sure what immediate solution could be to the problem. Does anybody have an idea wh ythere is such a big difference between online and offline? Could it just be the onnection even though delay is not bad as the FPS?

Any help would be appreciated.

Bond of Travolta said in the update's comments:
"After this update, apparently some AMD GPU users (me included) experience sudden fps drops in online matches sometimes. Is this problem tied to this update? Hopefully it can be fixed soon since it's happening quite often just for me to ignore."
"Or.. that could have been due to corrupted downloads. After running file integrity check, apparently I had 98MBs of corrupted contents. After redownloading them there are no more frame drops. So yeah, for anyone else, this might be a viable solution for you too."

So you should verify the integrity of the game's cache first (Steam -> right-click on the game in the list -> Settings -> Local Files), and if it still doesn't work, try re-installing the redistributables that ship with the game (particularly if you have Windows 10, since an update apparently half-breaked DX9 for some reason).
If after that it still doesn't work and you have a laptop with an AMD GPU, I've read you might want to disable some kind of auto-power mode in the Catalyst Control Center, but I can't tell for sure since I don't have such a laptop :/

I have been runnnig the game on

Processing Prority / 1366 x 768 resolution / V Sync: Off / Anti Alias: FXAA / Post-Effect: off / Dynamic Lighting: Off /

it does struggle on the train stage a little currentl offline. Going from 57-60 FPS to 49-54.

Now if I say for example up the resource priority through Task Manage to "above average"r it runs at a consistent 59.99 offline and the framerate is much improved online. However the input delay skyrockets from 4-5 to 12-18 input delay This tends to happen to me in other games as well ifI up their resource use.

Is that a normal occurance?

Ah, forgot to say... The Steam client is rumoured to have a memory leak issue, so you might want to try restarting it as well, and/or rebooting your computer.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replied so far.

I am really curious why when I play online the frame delay goes from 4-5 to a laggy 10-16 when I give the game more resources. This solvesm y framerate problem online but unforunately the lag becomes unplayable.

Would anybody know why this would happen?

Maybe because the game itself gets a higher priority, but not whatever detects the inputs? I honestly don't know :/
