"Failed to complete the download" SOLVED

I have been playing Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- for about 200 hours now and I have really been looking forward to this dlc that was being released today. However, the game haven't been working as it should since I downloaded the patch for the new dlc.

The startup screen shows how things are being verified with the steam cloud etc. After that, however, the loading screen gets black for about 20 seconds before displaying "Loading most recent information.". This also persists for another 20 seconds before a new window pops up, saying "Failed to complete the download.".

After this, the game starts up as if nothing has happened. Offline playing works great, but as soon as I try to go and play online, a window saying "Preparing the network..." , pops up. This window usually just shows for a second before you connect to online. This time, however, it persists for half a minute before displaying the same message as in the startup screen, "Failed to complete the download.".

In attempts to resolve this issue, I have tried:
- Restarted computer
- Re-installing the game with and without my anti-virus program running.
- Verified the integrity of the files through the game properties
- Cleared download cache
- Deleted every folder I could find that had any connection to the game which also made me lose all of the steam cloud savings that I had. (Rip colors. ugh...)
- Turned it back to Rev 1 through the options, still can't go online.

Does anyone know how I can resolve this? Q_Q

It was all just a routing error. All I had to do was open some ports. The ports can be found here -> http://steamcommunity.com/app/520440/discussions/0/154643795212590424/

Yeah, same issue here. A friend and I were playing, room suddenly ended, and I came back to the same "Failed to complete the download" message.

Yup, this just happened to my friends as well. One of them could still connect until he restarted the game, then he got the message too.

I think the servers are having issues maybe make less channels? there is far too many for each region and it is probobly wasting resources

I also got this error after a room crashed.

Gonna go out on a limb and say something is corrupting data server side.

try switching to REV under options/config then back to REV 2

I just logged back into game and didn't get the message, gonna try to play with friends to test it.

This fixed the problem, and also fixed the issue with connecting to the large lobbies.

Will be writing out the news in a short while, but in short we've just conducted an emergency server maintenance, and the servers are up now.

Veryfing the cache of the game will also fix this error. Worked for me.
