*This upgrade pack does NOT include -REVELATOR- DLCs. (Dizzy, Kum Haehyun and Raven are not included in this upgrade.)
Why?

PS4 users got Dizzy & Kum for free on their respective releases. Revelator came to PC much later than that and always cost $10+ extra for those two DLC characters. Now with the additional Rev 2 upgrade they're still missing for those who don't have them, yet included the "full" Rev 2 version. What is this garbage?

My fault for expecting everyone getting Rev 2 one way or another to finally be on the same level with the basic roster. No bone to be thrown.

PS4 users got it for free when revelator initially released. However this was only the case for NA and Japan(Asia as a whole?) Europeans couldn't get these characters for free during the first week.

PC also never had this unfortunately.

Agreed these character should be included within the Rev2 upgrade especially witht he prices being higher than for console.

ASW already said before those DLC were not gonna be included.

Kinda funny when you do get the DLC characters for buying the game from scratch.

If you disapprove you probably shouldn't have replied and brought the post back to the top.
Thanks!

It's a legitimate annoyance for me that with Revelator 2 we still some major discrepencies with each package and the roster still isn't complete and identical for all, and for no good reason That's all. Not too difficult to comprehend.

And coming from Xrd, at this point it's clear it would have been better to wait a few more months for the Rev 2 all in one package instead of getting Revelator at all, and that's unfortunate. Now I'm in a position where I'll probably wait and see if the crew I play SFV & Rev with prefer Tekken 7 over this. Instead of buying Rev2 without a second thought as I planned once it was up on Steam.

You better just buy what you wanna play, if you don't like this game then don't buy it.

Not to be in any more confusing issues than TC. Technically Haehyun was a pre-order bonus in JP Physically/Digitally, Digital Pre-Order in EU, and free DLC on launch week in US.

Dizzy however was free DLC for all regions when she was out for her launch week only, and yes, that included US/NA, EU/PAL, JP/Asia. (Also, the DLC was cross buy, so you got them for both PS3/PS4 systems, not just PS4.)

The reason steam didn't do it similar because its a different platform, I mean, yes, in Sign you can get all the DLC characters in-game, but since Revelator was released a few months from each other Console/PC wise, all content came the same in its own forms, bundles nonwithstanding. And now with Rev 2, Console and PC is on parity now as the latest version.

Really like the game, as a fan I simply dislike the way they continue to deliver the series on PC with each new release, which has nothing to do with the actual gameplay.

But with other PC fighting game contenders on the horizon such as Tekken 7 & KoF14, I'm even more inclined now to take the wait and see approach and see what sticks with friends, whereas before I was gonna jump right on it. It doesn't help that all these niche games are lumped together. SFV update, Rev 2 upgrade, and now Tekken 7 a day later. Can't make time for all of them.

Yeah, TC, we know, at it was like this last week when Rev 2 came out for console and it was a confusing mess what came with it and what didn't. (The fanbase had to check that out quickly, myself included.)

If the devs would have mentioned what versions contained what when Rev 2 was annouced, then this issue would have been averted, but oh well, at least they did for steam the week before their release, just in case, but a few weeks prior would have prepared people more.

Also, even if you can't make time, spread them out if you can, lol.

I got the EU physical edition of Revelator back then, so i didn't get Kum as that was digital only. However i never was able to download Dizzy, never did anyone else in EU who got the EU edition, physical or digital that i know of.I got the game ofcourse on launch day, during the entire week i checked and wasn't able to download Dizzy, ever.

^I did, I actually checked all region PS stores that same week and all of them showed up as free for Dizzy, but some people remember, some don't, I am one of those people that did remember, lol. But yeah, oh well...

This is probably what led me to believe they'd be included originally:

http://guilty-gear.wikia.com/wiki/Guilty_Gear_Xrd_REV_2#Returning_Playable_Characters_from_REVELATOR

At the bottom:
Kum Haehyun (*) Dizzy (*) (*) If the owner bought -REVELATOR- but did not purchase these characters, they will be included in the paid REV 2 Update DLC in the PlayStation Store.

Still not updated with the correct information, unless they are in fact included on Rev 2 Update for PS4 but not PC? Ah well, user error on whomever put that into the wiki.

Yeah, I don't quite get the reasoning for this either... people will defend it and apologize for the developer (for what reason, I don't know... liking a game doesn't mean you HAVE to always side with the developer) but I don't see how these aren't at least included in the deluxe upgrade version.

For a few different reasons, I'm probaby going to hold off on upgrading. This developer has left a sour taste in my mouth lately. Guilty Gear is a great game but the developer has made some questionable decisions on Steam.
