Private servers?

This was suggested by the community a year ago and the devs haven't released it yet.

With the popularity of the game I'm very concerned that someday the developers will just walk away from this game and just turn the servers off, which if they do this, will completely disable the game from being played. You won't be able to even play it solo if this happens since the game, for whatever reason, requires you to sign into a server to play alone.

I would really apprecaite it if such a day were to come that the developers would release a patch and way for us to host our own private servers. I <3 playing this game with my friends/family and would hate to see it become unplayable because of something like this.

I think the developers did a great job on this game, especially for a small development team, this work should not go to waste and it should be patched so that it is playable on private servers so people can keep playing the game after the development stops.

thanks for the warining, I almost bought the game. I have several games in my library that are now unplayable because there are no dedicated servers or any other means to play like LAN or P2P. Only official servers which are closed.

I got really tempted by the sale to buy 4 copies to play private games with friends but seeing how there are only official servers in game (or most likely I can rent one for money, which is a NO THANK YOU)

Our small group of almost 4,000 members is looking for new games of this genre to host, so when I saw that someone from my friends list had bought this game, I came here to check it out. Yet another small studio making the same mistake so many others have made before.
