Dear Barber Surgeons,

thank you for all the bugs you reported and collaborating with us to iron out all of these kinks. We spent the time since the last hotfix trying to replicate and fix everything you've reported and implementing a few quality of life features you asked for. We also worked hard on the promised artbook, which is being reviewed by the steam team right now so we'll release it once that's done. On to what we did for the game:

Quality of Life

Card names in Chinese, Japanes and Korean are no longer rotated 90 degrees
Switch Cards now show the active effect
Villagersprite behind card reward is now darkened
Adjusted the volume of all soundtracks and SFX

Bugfixes

Major

Fixed a bug where all villagers used for the Rite of Severance against the Nobleblood of Fear were turned to trust
Fixed a bug when playing against the Nobleblood of Fear where dead villagers still showed up in the top border
Fixed a bug where the merge button remained visible after ringing the bell
Fixed a bug where duplicating a sword piece card lead to another random sword piece being added to the duplicated card
Fixed a bug with the Impaled One where the game freezes after the last bloodstone extraction
Fixed a bug where duplicating a merged or upgraded card freezes the game
Fixed a bug where duplicating greed didn't work correctly
Fixed a bug where deselecting the relief and pressing play at the same time froze the game
Fixed a bug where exiting out of the winscreen didn't give you a meta bloodstone
Fixed a bug with the Nobleblood of Fear where you have a relic when you exit and reload during the start card reward
Fixed a bug with Transmuter Oracle of Foreboding and Card Inferno Plume where handcards where blocked after triggering Oracle of Foreboding with Inferno Plume

Minor

Fixed a bug where Impaled One story snippets were shown when defeating Avarice and Cupidity
Fixed a bug where the text explaining the meta progression bloodstones went outside of the text box
Fixed a bug where the Nobleblood of Fear winscreen always showed the defeated difficulty as easy
Fixed a bug where the back card during a 4+ card reward was rendered in front of the front card
Fixed a bug where played cards visually move back to the handcards and get stuck there
Fixed a bug where you didn't get the Avarice and Cupidity achievement after defeating it
Fixed a bug where a card tooltip doesn't disappear
Fixed a bug where the upgrade seal isn't shown on the cards

Once again thank you so much for the continued support and your leniency for the state of the game at launch. From what we know the most game breaking things are fixed now but do let us know if you still run into any other issues. Have fun with the game and may your dubious methods work!

Missing 2 Cards After Completing All Stages + Transmuter Achievement Not Unlocking

Hi! I’m having two progression/achievement issues and I’m not sure if I’m missing something or if these are bugs. 1. I’m stuck at 126/128 cards I have completed all stages on all available difficulty levels**, but my collection still shows 126/128 cards unlocked. As far as I can tell, I have completed all of the normal progression requirements, but I cannot figure out how to unlock the remaining two cards. This game is not a friendly one for newbie?

I recently bought this game because I really love its medieval setting and art style. However, Im a total newbie to deck-building card games and have never played this genre before. After finishing the tutorial and jumping into the main game, I got completely stuck on the very first level. I ended up giving up because winning felt impossible. We've had some of you ask us about the possibility of releasing over there as well so we did. Their team has been really sweet about helping us get the game on there so we're really happy that it all worked out. First Full Release Hotfix 1.0.1

Dear Barber Surgeons,

thank you so much for the overwhelming support for our full release so far. Our expectations for the full release were surpassed by far and we can't believe how many of you are playing and enjoying the game.

Of course we've been reading everything you've been reporting and trying to fix the problems you've encountered. There's been some reports we haven't been able to reproduce ourselves or were missing vital context that helps us find and fix the bugs. If you find bugs it helps us a ton if you give as much detail as possible about the exact state of game and what actions you did right before the bug happened, that way we can reproduce and fix it.

That being said there's been one major game breaking bug that's been reported a bunch and a problem with achievements we were able to fix.

Update Content

Fixed a bug with achievement "death comes to us all" where it was unobtainable
Fixed a bug with entity "Nobleblood of fear" and "exploit" cards, where no body parts were intractable when triggering the rite of severance with an exploit effect.

Please keep reporting any problems you run into, we'll keep reading and keep fixing as you describe. We're very sorry that your play experiences are negatively impacted by these things but considering we're only four devs it's super hard to catch everything before releasing the game out to the public.

For smoothest communication please join our discord, over there we can also ask specific questions about your reports and help walk you through solutions for more niche things like save slot issues.

Again thank you so much for your support, we're so incredibily grateful for your trust in us, we won't let you down.
