Is there good anti-cheat?

Hey guys, I want to buy this game but I want to know if its still playable? Are there many cheaters?

I've been playing consistently for just over a year, with 630 hours in the game, and I have never seen a single hacker.
If you ask people who have played for longer then they will tell you the same thing, there have been almost no actual hackers in the 8-ish years that the game has been available.

I have encountered a few wall hackers in my some 40 hours, though not all the time and it has been the same three or so people.

Let me run you through this. You are playing intruder, it's been months and you haven't seen a single hacker. Well, today you find one, except... it's kinda funny. Like, they're not really dominating anything, and they usually stop the round right after. Well, skip forward a bit, and you find the same people, except this time you actually hang out with them, you without cheating cause you don't know how and them stuck in a wall. It's almost surreal.
That was my experience, more or less. I've met a hacker once, and he wasn't too unpleasant.
