I've gone back to my joystick as I'm not a console player so game pads aren't my forteit plus having one hand free to say sratch my neck during a volley is good:)
As I had mentioned before my button 2,3,4 is the game's' 1,2,3. No big deal for me as I have 20 positions I can program any DX joystick button to.
So whatever button you can make/edit other than 1,2,3 is good for AI placement. I can also program mh buttons for KB too so either way works for me.
A couple notes for other players if you haven't already figured out. The set button (after all initilal sets) will often shoot the ball over the net especially if its done near the net which seems to simulate a knuckle pokie. ( I learned that term in the olympics lol)
At any rate it's a slow speed ball especially if you're good at placement. I'm not good at that because if I move the joystick for a location prior to passing I have my eyes off the ball when hitting thus usually too late and an error. I do best not trying to place it.
Also with an expert AI assist (which my Kerri is) after she sets the ball from a serve you're better off setting it back to her unless it's a good set in front of you then spike or shot is good.
By being patient and not swinging at every set from her I get a lot of points setting it back to her because she will often place it with a good shot or spike. These may be obvious but in case not......
