You are certainly right about that. I personally would love to see an Editor that is not so buggy.
The last I saw was that Chris Beatrice of Tilted Mill was helping the guys who are making "Pharoah A New Age". If you can get in touch with them, that might be your best shot.
I also tried to write to the administrator of https://www.sierragamers.com/games/ but he didn't answer, and I don't think he knows anything.
About the editor I think it inherits a lot of bugs from the game, so it will need to be fixed first... in case my theory can be useful to someone.
We all can try to write to Chris Beatrice and Activison with the request to make it Open Source, to avoid the end of this game. If they get a lot of requests maybe they will really think about it.
Surely the game can be remade from scratch in something like unreal? i think that would probably allow more flexibility and is more accessible? i dunno - just an idea.. i see someone doing it for nfsu2
I agree that a total remake would be good. Chris was involved with the remake of Pharoah A New Era.
While we are waiting I'm keeping my eye peeled for a couple of new titles that are currently in development. These are
Builders of Egypt
Aztecs The Last Sun
I didn't know Aztecs The Last Sun, thank you, I will look at it too.
@apprendista
I hear what you're saying, i really do - i'm just being idealistic :p
