What's after Corinth
So I have painstakingly finished Corinth in the Republic campaign... but it doesn't give me the option to move to the next stage...?

It should not take much time, double check the ratings to see if you have indeed finished the level. The next levels are as follows
Economic
--------
5 - Narona
6 - Condate Riedonum
7 - Carthago

or
Military
--------
5 - Emerita Augusta
6 - Hippo Regius
7 - Londinium

then onto Empire Campaign levels

It said I had completed all the ratings. which is why it's so weird. It was painstaking cos the game kept crashing...

Maybe your save file is corrupted. try saving it to a different name, then load that save version. Test the cheat code as follows to see if it completed the level.
Press Return then type Win
then press Return
