Caesar 4
Question about resources/production for anyone still playing this game!
Hi all. So I know fundamental things like one farm can work two fields. However I was wondering what happens if I had two farms and two fields? Or two clay camps with one clay pit? Does having more resource buildings or factories increase the speed or volume of production? Or does the extra building do nothing?

I ask because I'm doing the opening tutorial missions which are on tiny maps and pops are starving quite easily because it takes ages for food to get to them, and even then it's not enough, so either I'm building too many pop buildings or not enough resource/production ones.

If building more resource buildings speeds up production or provides more resources, then that will be a relief and I'll do that. Just not sure if that's the case though!

Thanks for the help.

One farm can manage 2 fields, so if you have 2 farms then you should build 4 fields. You can have multiple clay camps digging in one clay pit. To make sure you dont have too many people check that unemployment is zero or low. Yes I'm still playing it now.
I follow some kind of rule for this matter. 1 farm = 2 fields , the same with vegetables and meat,
1 clay camp = 2 pottery factories, the same with sand, iron, gold, etc. Lets say you need to use oil to upgrade Insulae and you need to export it. I would put 8 fields of olives = 4 olive farms = which can provide olives to 8 Olive factories. This works with Clothes and Wines too. If its food you want to max. 6 farms= 12 fields = i would put 2 granaries, 1 near the farms and one near the city, and put more than 1 market, maybe two, i do these because 2 markets would empty those 2 granaries, and if the granaries are empty, they would bring more Raw food from the farms more often. I hope it works.
