I agree completely. All the fan projects and unfished clones available are a testament to the demand there is in the community for these kinds of games. Nevertheless, none of them come close the production values Redout has to offer. Ergo:
1. High demand
2. No serious competition
...
Profit!!!
Italian language on Steam is 0.91%
Linux OS on Steam is 0.88%
( store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/ )
given that those percentages are calculated over the same userbase sample,
we can assume that Linux gamers on Steam are a similar amount as the Italian gamers on Steam.
Now think about this crowds and imagine which group will buy more copies of Redout:
the pizza-mafia-bungabunga crowd
or the "omg there are so few Linux games I buy them all" crowd ?
;)
I don't get warm with all those realistic racing simulators. But arcade style racing games like this. High Speed, impossible actions; this is what I want to play.
It' okay though, if you don't port it, as I know the market share isn't great. Keep up your good work (y)
HAHAHA now I've seen it all.
I hereby approve a bj service for Linux games devs ;)
Quindi, per favore, valutate, l'atmosfera alla wipeout è indubbiamente coinvolgente.
