Magnetic Stabiliser OP?
So obviously the game is less than 2 days old but I upgraded this to max and it seems really really good (I'm still on class 2 mind).

I kinda feel like I'm using this as a crutch and not learning the game as intended to be played but it's so good I find it hard not to use it.

What do you guys think do you think this will be essential for the 'meta' or will there be some other combination of power ups that allow a very skills pilot to go faster without it?

I tried doing some time attack with the propeller and with the magnet (class 4).
Even though with the magnet you can basically take any turn without braking the propeller still seems to be faster, you just have to know how to take corners.

Nope! Lv 4 Augmented Propeller is. Magnetic Stabiliser is useful early in the game, but later speed become a major focus. Especially against the class 4 A.I.

No... THAT how the game is suppose to be played. You want to abuse the upgrades. Believe me.

Use the rank 4 Nobunaga ship with 'Extra Magnetic Grip' active attachment. This boosts your turningeven more than Magnetic Stabilizer passive does, and it even gives you a speed boost while it's active. Because the passive slot is freed up, you can use Augmeted Propellers with it. Reason I say to use the Nobunaga ship is because it has faster energy regen than the extra magnetic grip attachment drains. You can leave it active for the entire race.
So yea :/ OP combo that gives best of both worlds.

I'd say it is sort of a crutch, you don't really get to learn drifting properly using it. And yeah, for the end game if you want the best speed, you'll need that slot for other things.

It's there for a reason, later on you wil regret not using it
Persaonally I don't use it, I use the Propellor perk. At least you understand what and how to make your ship handle better, rather than complain abt AI

I use Turbine + Boost/EMP for speed, and Slipstream + Repair Drone for survival. Never used anything else.

Slipstream when there are no opponents? I'm confused.

I think he meant for 'survivability', not survival game mode. For survival you just want energy recharge passive and the defence shield active = 100% invincibility unless you fall off the track during a jump.

Ah, I see
