In my opinion it's very easy in its current form so I hope they give a harder mode.
Let's not forget you can get top 3 and move onto other races.
So I guess that sorta make up for the high difficulty...I guess. Just play at your own pace.
Class I posed a substantial but satisfying challenge. Class II has proven to be utterly brutal. I know that plenty of people will sneer at me, but I'd honestly have more fun blowing through the game on an easier difficulty. It doesn't need to be anything complex; just tweaking some of the numbers would be fine.
As much as I loved F-Zero GX back in the day, I'll readily admit that its story mode was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ impossible. I was really hoping that Redout would prove to sate my thirst for something in the F-Zero vein without all of the teeth-grinding frustration.
Side note: the hardest racing game I've ever played would probably have to be the Driver (the original one released back in the year 2000). Good luck getting past the "tutorial."
That said, I'd love more difficulty options too.
I started with Lunare too but yeah, too fast especially with AP. Now I pick ESA usually.
