After install, start Redout, unplug usb cable from DS4, plug it back in, then it should work.

Installed it, but it didnt work.. i was so hoping it would!

I use DS4Windows too and it works like a charm. Bluetooth can be a bit annoying to get working but USB is really easy to set up.

I tried to download the latest version of ds4 windows from: http://ds4windows.com and when I unzipped the file and tried to run the program, nothing happens, absolutely nothing.
I ran the updater and it said that the program was up to date.

I read a little about it and it seems other people have the same problem, and since the project is no longer active it wont get fixed.

So download inputmapper from: http://inputmapper.com and try that one instead, works like a charm for me.

InputMapper is the answer for DS4. Every game.
