Opinions from Pod Racer fans?

I'm looking at getting this, it seems like it might scratch the itch left by Star Wars Episode 1 Racer. I've played WipeOut and grew up with the SNES F-Zero, but the N64 pod racing game is probably the most fun I've had in an arcade scifi racer. The huge environments, blurring straights, hidden side paths, overheating the engines, and the upgrades over the career mode . . . does RedOut satisfy any of that? WipeOut only felt fast enough in the zone modes, for some reason it rarely felt as fast to me in the regular matches.

Opinion is buy this right now. Well worth it, it's closer to Wipeout than F-Zero if you want any sort of comparison. You even have a brand of rides that looks exactly like Skywalker's pod racer.

I loved episode 1 racer and i would say this game is pretty similar to that. Redout feels fast and the tracks are really really great. The controls in this game are amazing too. Its worth the 30 bucks.
