I am trying out the demo, and it doesn't seem to have an option for borderless windowed mode (unless I'm missing something). So, try the NVIDIA provided solution there (link above).
Tried many different resolutions and modes no green flicker.
YAY!
Yes, you are right. The above Nvidia article tells you to do this exact thing, but the fix for the issue is not the enabling/disabling of 32-bit desktop color depth, but rather the forcing of the output color depth to 8 bpc via NVC Panel. Recent Windows FCU update incorrectly chooses the default output color depth to 10 or 12 bpc on some monitors that do not support these (causing green flickering in Fullscreen for some games). The solution to the problem is the Nvidia article quoted above, which suggests choosing nvidia color settings that has the output color depth on 8 bpc in Nvidia control panel.
What is your windows build version? As far as I know, recent windows updates did not bring any changes to this issue at all. The fix is coming in build 17046 which is in preview at the moment (not rolled out).

"We fixed a community reported issue where display colors became distorted after upgrading on some TV’s and monitors that incorrectly advertised support for 10/12 bit wire formats."
Hey, thanks. Nice to know what's causing the flickers. :) Indeed my monitor doesn't support 10 nor 12 bpc so the fix was literally to check the "Use NVIDIA colour settings" box, 8bpc is obviously choosed by default.
