Game will not start

I played it fine the first day I had it, now I can not get the game to start at all. It goes to the splash screen and stays there. I've tried playing this in oculus VR mode, Steam VR mode and just on my screen. Task manager says Redout not responding. Ive verified my game cache, did not work. Uninstalled and reinstalled, no dice. Tried running as admin...no difference. Im using a 6700 with a 8gb1070

Picked up the game yesterday from the deal i received wth my new graphics card, i played for about a hour no problems but upon trying to start today it is stuck on the spalsh screen.

Thank you that fixed the issue but seem's a bit daft to have to do this to get the game to run after a flawless first play.

Had the same problem of game hanging at splash screen. I did the above and it worked except all my progress was lost. I restored the file from the recycle bin and all good. I had just updated the video drivers from Nvidia and that is when i could not play the game. Not saying that is cause but i had no problems before that. Win 10 64 bit.

I am now getting a fatal error whenever i try to start the game now! The game was working just fine before-hand. Why????

Darn. Was hoping this would help me with the demo, but since the demo won't even launch there's no save game to delete.

Never mind, the launcher was coming up behind the active window. Once I was able to choose the method of playing the game it was happy :)

My game doesnt launch at all. When press the play button after a few seconds of steam messege box of loading game the messege disapears and i am left with the same play button that i am able to press again. The continues shows this behavior i hve reinstalled like a million times and nothing all the othe games work that i hve on steam except this one. Plz help n fix this problem.

I have the same problem. i7-4770k 3.5 Ghz cpu, 16 gigs of RAM, 1080 SC GPU.

When I try to enter the game in desktop mode, it works fine.
When I try to enter the game in VR mode, there's a Redout splashscreen and the dots moving across t he bottom of the screen (loading screen), and then everything goes black and the game hangs.

I tried turning down every setting to low in desktop mode. I tried turning off vsync/gsync. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I tried disabling steam cloud. I tried verifying intergrity of game cache. I tried I tried deleting all the files in local/redout/saved. I tried deleting all the files in common/redout/savedgames. Nothing is working.

I was really looking forward to playing this. I don't want to refund it. But a game has to, at a minimum, start...

Can't even start the game, conveniently after the 2 hour grace period for a refund. It loads the small pre-game window then black screen for a split second before crashing.

Having this issue with the demo, no save game to delete as it has never started properly, every time I start it it'll get to the black fullscreen for about a second or less then vanish and boom, Vokun Vulon is no longer in game, I really want to buy this game but if the demo wont work I can't... Please help!

Same issue, but I get FATAL ERROR in options menu. I cannot play the game.
