Does this game have Split Screen or LAN?

I haven't bought this game yet and I want to see if I can get some good multiplayer mileage out of it even without internet play.

No splitscreen or LAN but it does have online multiplayer with dedicated server hosts. So theoretically if you and a friend bring two PC's you could race each other online, even if in the same room.

Well that's disappointing. What's a PC multiplayer game without even LAN. When this launches on Switch, I assume it won't have Split Screen either then. A racing game on console without Split Screen is a carcrash.

Split screen has been talked about by the devs for a while now and they've done a great job updating the game with other new features since launch, so there's a chance it'll still be added. Besides I'd still highly recommend the game even if you're only playing solo.

Dont buy it unless split screen gets added because once you finish the campagain thats it and there are not alot of unlocks

25% way through the campagin you will have unlocked everything and have alot of in game money left over but nothing to buy and it will just add up

it is a great game but it needs splitscreen

Just chiming in to say this is pretty much the only thing preventing me from playing this game anymore. Would be the *perfect* party racing game, shame it doesn't have split-screen.

This continues to be the only reason I haven't bought this game yet. Once splitscreen comes out, I would definitely buy, but not until then

Waiting for split-screen myself. Sure they said they'll add it in the future but I don't want to take the risk of buying the game on sale and having the devs decide they won't add it in later.

This has happened countless times, and since Redout is not in Early Access they are not obliged to make any additional changes either.

This is especially worrying amidst the announcement of development for the Nintendo Switch. I'm eager to see Redout on more platforms (especially if it allows for cross-platform play), but I'm also worried that this may draw development attention away from this frankly necessary feature. Devs have commented on the previous split-screen forum post, but that was months ago if I remember correctly, and I'm fairly sure this is not a priority now. I'd love to be proven wrong; I would really just like to play this game as a couch racer.

Have we gotten word as to why splitscreen is missing? If it's an issue with the engine, GRIP (same engine) has it and it's still in early access. If it's an issue with the graphics tech, just lower the settings in splitscreen.

Well it's not a small feature we can implement in a week and be done with it. Everything major takes time, effort and all the related planning. We do have splitscreen working per se (as you can see on our youtube channel), but we are not in early access, we can't ship half-baked features (nor, more precisely, we want to).

So yeah, takes time and proper testing :)
