Stuck at pavement level outside elevator

How very annoying! I made great efforts to source a real plank in real life having read the reviews to add to the immersion. I was so looking forward to playing this, perfecting how to do it and then introduce the mind blowing nature of VR to my dubious family... and all I get is this. A game which I've paid for that won't work.
Can somebody please help! I have a Rift CV1 and a proper set-up that plays everything else from Assetto Corsa to DCS World perfectly.
How do I fix this flaw?

Hi, I'm really sorry to hear this. I'll help in any want I can. I just need to find out a little more information first. Can you walk into the elevator and see the yellow elevator buttons? Use the touch controllers to press whatever floor you want to go to. Press the VR settings button or B or Y on the touch controller to access the menu and setup your real world plank. You can then drag the green arrows in VR that will adjust the size, location, height and orientation of your real world plank.

If this is doesn't work or the buttons don't work, please let me know. Once again, I'm really sorry and I look forward to getting this working for you.

Hi Richard thank you for your prompt reply and i am pleased that you as a developer will be trying to help.
I can't move either so I can't enter the elevator. I can see the green buttons above my head outside the elevator but I can't interact with them. On the menu some of the adjusters work but others don't. The set up real world plank tab won't highlight but the reset tab below will as does the exit button. WTF?
Sad man...

Wow. That sounds really unusual. On the desktop menu (press M) there's a button to take you to Plank Setup. Then get into VR. Do the green arrow handles work then? The Green arrow handles to adjust the plank should only ever appear in a white room after selecting plank setup.

No. On the desktop menu on the monitor when I click on Plank setup in VR, all I get are some beige coloured isometric shapes that float down from above momentarily and then disappear again. No green handles show up then. The same happens when i click warp to ground floor.

Okay this is a disaster for you. Very sorry. I don't know how to fix this in a speed that I'm happy with. Please request refund and accept friend request. I'd like to speak to you about this privately.

Oh how disappointing. I suppose this plank sitting here in my warm cosy office will have to get used to being back outside again in the rain and cold.
You can't win them all...
