We’re acting like the player is extremely rich. Snowmobiles are expensive

What in God's name makes you think they're rich? They're probably just middle class.

i feel that anyone from alivieska didnt even own a single snowmobile, well if we want to go ice fishing then we would probably just walk and find a very nice spot like you would hunt a fish in pro pilkki game i guess

what makes you think the family is rich? player character's first vehicle is his dad old vehicle that he was to fix by himself.
most vehicles seen around player family's property are in a worn/broken or stripped state(for example, hayoisko has worn and soft rusty suspension, gifu has broken anxle and few gauges)
and the sauna in the house is rather normal for finland house hold. nothing super fancy inside finland.

It will be possible to drive on the ice with vehicles, so you can just drive with any vehicle to find the ice fishing spot. People irl do go ice fishing with vans in finland

I didnt mean real rich, like you said middle class or not poor. Why cant a middle class family afford a snowmobile?
My reasons for thinking this way are the fact that the house they own is quite modern compared to a lot of the other houses in the area, they own a substantial bit of land, they also own a boat, they own a cottage on a nearby island. And they have enough money to give their son their old car and buy a new one for themselves and not sell it to help pay for the new one and they are able to travel on an indefinitely long holiday to Tenerife.

i'm pretty sure driving on the ice is pretty dangerous and you would probably expect your car to be in the water, since the lake itself isnt fully frozen i think

The ice will be collapsing in some places but i think you can drive there with Jonne Es, since its a lightweight vehicle and irl people do go fishing with vans

What? I'm a Canadian, I work on a farm and you can buy a piece of junk 20 year old snowmobile for 2000 dollars and fix it up. It's like anything vehicle related in real life, you can get anything for cheap as long as your willing to fix it. Snowmobiles are very common in Canada, yes a brand new snowmobile is very expensive but like with cars, there are plenty of 10 year old cars on the road that are being sold to young people that just got their licence, same thing with snowmobiles. I personally own 2, one was old and needed work, the other one was in boxes, had to be completely built, I don't insure them year round and it's a hobby.
