    Game
    • New MSC type of game, set during the winter (duh) It is a sequel game to MSC taking place 1-2 years after the events of MSC, and features new game mechanics, new vehicles and more.
    • Price will be same as MSC (15 euros)
    • People who own MSC will most likely get a discount for MWC, and if you do not own either of the games you would possibly be able to buy them as a bundle with a lesser price.
    • Toplessgun says that the game will be "even less fun than MSC" :D
    Story/Map
    • Same player character as in MSC
    • Same map but with snow, ice and new buildings. The player will start in a completely different place however, not at the parents' house like in MSC. Toplessgun answered "Yes" when asked the question "Will we live in the Town (Peräjärvi)?".
    • The player will have the ability to live in a rented apartment.
    • The island cottage will return and be usable.
    • The parents' house will return and be usable, the garage has electric radiators making it the most practical spot to assemble the project car. The house itself also has electric heating, but the fireplace can be used instead to decrease electricity costs.
    • The lake will be frozen and will have ice roads and an ice racing track. There may be "danger spots" where you can fall through the ice with heavier vehicles (i.e truck)
    • The highway will have a lower speed limit for the winter, 80 km/h.
    • Takes place possibly 1-2 years after the events of MSC, year is not yet known but confirmed to be pre-2000. Set during the darkest winter time. It will be set in the month of January.
    • The currency used in MWC will still be Marks (as opposed to Euros), placing the game's setting before 1999.
    • Toplessgun confirmed the possibility for Christmas-related stuff to spawn when it's the holiday season in real life.
    • Teimo will still be alive :)
    • There will be returning characters and some new characters. There will be new NPC cars.
    • Cousin Pena will likely stay in the game, but probably with a new car.
    • Toplessgun says that in the final game, you will buy the project car as a chassis + random parts from someone and you will have to obtain the rest of the parts from various sources (used parts magazines, Fleetari, new-old-stock parts from importer and maybe from junkyard type of locations). He also adds that "Getting all the parts in reasonable condition will be a pain."
    • When asked about the player character's fate, Toplessgun responded with "I think the days in MSC are the last days of freedom, so enjoy it while you can!"
    • A flea market type of location where the player character can (try) to sell extra junk such as extra car parts is planned.
    Game Mechanics
    • There will be a temperature system. There will be a normal mercury thermometer and also ability to read temperature from Teletext. Player will have to manage their temperatures as there is a possibility to freeze to death!
    • There will be a permadeath mode just like in MSC
    • Toplessgun confirmed the possibility for loading your old MSC save into MWC and having that affect the story of MWC. What this means is not known yet. (26.11.2022): Toplessgun said this about the save transfering feature: "I haven't decided all the details, but at least money is not transferred. I'd like to import only stuff that don't change the MWC experience too much."
    • Mechanic for making snowballs and throwing them at people confirmed :D
    • Body temperature mechanic - combination of ambient temperature, selection of clothing and amount of exercise. If you get too warm, you will start sweating, which will decrease your body temperature at a faster rate. There will be a separate status bar for the body temperature on the HUD.
    • There is a mechanic planned for being able to change clothing according to the weather conditions. You can change between indoor clothing, light winter clothing and heavy winter clothing. You can take sets of clothes with you and change between them on the go.
    • Possibility for skiing feature (not yet confirmed)
    • The player will be able to use the phone to make calls. You will be able to call parts sellers to order used parts from the magazine, and you will likely also be able to call Fleetari to ask him how the progress on your repair work is going. It is not yet known if you will be able to call anyone else.
    • There will likely be the option to use a microwave to heat up foods.
    • There will be a magazine that you can buy once or twice a week that has listings of used car parts, which will be the main source of gathering parts for the project car. Parts that you do not need can be sold on the local flea store or disposed of at the landfill.
    • The Mikropekka will return from MSC, but might have some new games.
    • Fleetari's repair shop services will be slightly changed - payment will now happen after the repair work is done. You will only be able to start another repair order after you've paid for the last one (possibly also the key to the Rivett is taken away when you start a order, and given back after you've paid)
    • You will need to hold down the mouse button to refuel cars in MWC, as opposed to MSC where you just put the fuel nozzle near the hole and it fills automatically
    • The pipes in the house (such as water pipes) will be able to freeze in the cold.
    • There will be an alarm clock you can use to wake up at times you set.
    • The sofa from MSC will probably return, although you won't be able to use it to sleep outdoors.
    • Energy drinks are a new buyable item that you can use to reduce fatigue. Coffee is now balanced so you can't drink it infinitely to remove fatigue, it has a limit
    • You will likely be able to rent a heated garage space from Fleetari, to use for working on your car. You would rent the garage space for 1 week at a time and be able to use it as much as you want.
    • There will most likely be an option to sell scrap metal to Fleetari. The specifics of this feature have not been revealed yet
    Physics
    • Will use same version of Unity engine as MSC, as an engine upgrade is impossible according to Toplessgun.
    • No dynamic snow physics, snow will be "static annoyance". There will however be icy/slippery roads, with hopefully different grip areas depending on the place. The road sides would be snow banked and driving deep in there would make the car stuck.
    • Car building system has been rewritten to be much more streamlined (allowing for better performance) and to allow for the player to buy multiple spare engine parts.
    • Toplessgun says that the driving physics are pretty much done now and also describes the driving as "pretty awesome" and "massive fun"!
    • It will probably be possible to fall through "danger spots" on the frozen lake and die, but likely only if you are driving a heavier vehicle, such as the truck.
    • There will be sandbags you can put in your trunk for more grip.
    • The ability to brew Kilju will return. It is not yet confirmed if you will still be able to sell it.
    Jobs
    • There will be a new (optional) "main" job that will be your main source of income, but what type of job it is is yet to be revealed. When asked if it will involve driving, Toplessgun responded with "Highly recommended." (Correction: he means that if you walk to work you'll probably end up late.) He has said that it won't involve doing deliveries.
    • It seems that the new "main" job will have a punch clock machine that the player can use to clock in and out of work. You will be paid based on the amount of hours that you have worked, Toplessgun confirmed that you can take days off of work depending on how many hours you have accumulated. He said the job has "sliding work hours", so if you come late you will leave the job late.
    • The job will only be active from Monday to Friday. You can work extra hours (overtime) every day for extra pay, but only 2-3 extra hours per day.
    • You will be able to lose the "main job" permanently by getting fired from it! This happens if you do not have enough working hours within the week.
    • If you are unemployed, you will receive unemployment and living benefits.
    • Salary from the main job and any state benefits will likely be paid out every week or every 2 weeks (the developer has not fully decided this yet). As for the main job, there are no pay cuts or bonuses, it is all about hours and fixed pay. However, there is a "trial period" on the job after which you will get an increased salary.
    • Toplessgun mentioned the possibility of a bus driver job, but isn't sure if it would fit the game.
    • Toplessgun said "there might be another job that is delivery type of job. But I haven't decided on that yet."
    • The Kekmet with it's flatbed will return, meaning the firewood delivery job will likely return in MWC.
    • The septic truck job from MSC will return in MWC.
    • Toplessgun mentioned the possibility of an additional trucking job with a new drivable company truck - he mentioned it would probably be a logging job. If this is added, it will replace the Gifu and the septic truck job would be removed from the game.
    Vehicles
    • Confirmed so far are a new buildable car and a daily driver car that the player character owns and can use. Fleetari will also own a new car that the player can use when their car is being worked on. More info on those below.
    • Toplessgun says there will hopefully be as many drivable vehicles as there are in MSC and that "some of them will be carried over"
    • The Satsuma and Ruscko are both confirmed to not appear in MWC. Toplessgun says "It is always more fun for the player to experience new different vehicles." The Ferndale will also not be returning (although it will appear as a undrivable prop car, probably like the Fury in MSC). When asked about the moped, TG said "I think Jonnez might stay as it is". The Hayosiko van will not return as a drivable vehicle, however it may make an appearance as a static prop.
    • Uncle's Gifu and the Kekmet (w/ flatbed) will return in MWC.
    • There MAY be a new drivable truck added to the game for a new truck driving job. If this is added to the game, it will replace the Gifu and septic jobs will be removed from the game.
    • There will be racing on the ice track, with side-by-side, lap based racing with AI cars. There will be 4-6 different models of AI cars on the ice track, one of them can be seen on a screenshot (check the Development screenshots section below). The ice track race takes place over the weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and it takes place every other weekend, as it alternates with the rally.
    • Toplessgun confirmed the rally is going to still stay in the game, but now it will take place every other weekend as it alternates with the ice track race.
    • No chain tires, but regular winter tires with studs will be available. Though you may be able to put chains on the tires of the Kekmet.
    • There will be window defrosting and ice scraping mechanics, buildable car also has rear window heater
    • There will be a block heater that you can use on the daily driver car, for warming up the engine block and oil to allow for easier starting in very cold weather.
    Project Car
    • Ford Taunus TC1 (ingame name Corris Rivett)
    • 1970s 2 door pillared coupe
    • Rear wheel drive
    • Front mounted carbureted inline 4 gasoline engine. It has a single-barrel carburetor, and it is OHC. The engine is based off of a Ford Pinto OHC engine, with the displacement of 2.0 liters. The engine has no rev limiter. The engine was recently changed from a 1.6l to a 2.0l, but it is not confirmed which variation of the Pinto engine it will be specifically
    • You can choose between either a 3-speed automatic gearbox or a 4-speed manual gearbox for the car. You will likely have to change the automatic transmission fluid, if using a automatic gearbox.
    • In the final game, the player will buy the project car with only the chassis and some random parts and will have to acquire the rest of the car parts from various sources.
    • The price of the Rivett when you first buy it will be around 500mk.
    • The buildable car is completely implemented and is mostly missing tuning parts.
    • There will be an upgraded trim level that the player will be able to upgrade the Rivett to, similar to how the Satsuma can be upgraded to the Satsuma GT in MSC
    • You will be able to choose from studded tires, cheap summer tires, Gommer Gobras and racing tires for snow/ice use to put on the project car.
    • The buildable project car will have more breakable parts and damage states than the Satsuma in MSC! Toplessgun says "Yes there will be more damage states and a lot more parts that can break, either through crashing or wear. Maintaining the car will be more troublesome in MWC, also because access to new parts is somewhat limited." When asked for an example of what new parts will be breakable, he replied with "For example cooling system parts, heater unit, wiper motors, suspension arms and shocks, driveshaft... There are many things :)"
    • When asked about the Rivett's reliability, Toplessgun described it as a "good reliable car, as long as the parts are in good condition" but also noted "But because it doesn't have a block heater, you might not always be able to drive it."
    • There are various different trim levels to the Rivett, which are random for every save. You can decode what specification your Rivett came from the factory by decoding the VIN, ranging from anywhere from "poverty spec" to "top of the line sport/luxury package". You can still build the car however you want as all the parts from all the trims are available to buy, but if you build the car to match the VIN code you can register it as a "historical vehicle".
    • It does not have a clock.
    • You will be able to secure the spare tire in the trunk!
    • The Rivett has 3 different interior colors.
    • The Rivett has 20 different stock exterior paint colors.
Tuning parts for the project car
    • The installable Turbo badge will return (lol)
    • There will be long coil springs like in MSC and also shorter springs to make the car lower.
    • There (might) be a installable center console as an upgrade part. (not 100% confirmed)
    • Confirmed that there will be multiple types of performance tuning camshafts you can choose from, twin carbs and you will also be able to change the interior like in MSC.
    • There will most likely be installable side pipes with split exhaust.
    • Some of the tuning parts from MSC that are interchangable will likely return (antennas, sound system, etc)
    • There will be installable rally mudflaps
    Daily Driver
    • NEW: Confirmed to be based off of the Talbot 1510!
    • 1980s 4 door European hatchback
    • Front wheel drive
    • Inline 4 gasoline engine, 5-speed manual transmission
    • It was never sold as a 3-door version in real life.
    • It will be named "Sorbett"
    • Toplessgun describes it as "while it has its own character, as ALL old cars do, I'd still say it is boring as heck. :D"
    • The real car the daily driver is based on has options for either a gasoline engine or a diesel engine, however the version in MWC will have a gasoline engine.
    • Serves the same purpose as the blue van, but with less space and owned by the player character from the beginning of the game.
    • Not a Renault or Peugeot
    • Has a "pretty well sized trunk" according to TG, and foldable rear seats.
    • If you bought the CD player and yellow fog lights in MSC and ported your save over, they will be present on the Sorbett in MWC. Possibly other accessories as well, but Toplessgun hasn't added them yet.
    • It was described as being a "poverty spec", Topless said the only notable features it has are the radio and a rear window heater.
    Fleetari's car
    • Fleetari will own a new car that he will loan to the player in MWC. The Ferndale will stay, but as a prop car NOT DRIVABLE (likely how the Fury is in MSC)
    • Fleetari's car will be in stock (not modified) condition.
    • It will be a 2 door car.
    • It is a 1950's - 1960's car.
    • It will be larger than the Ferndale, but less powerful.
    • The car will be like "Fleetari's winter beater". It will likely be another American car.
    • It will have an automatic transmission.
    • It has normal winter tires on it and "probably has some cheap rims" installed
    • It will not be a Plymouth Fury
    • Toplessgun thinks it will be a fun car to throw around in the winter time.

    Release Date
    • There is no release date for MWC yet. It will be released sometime after MSC releases out of early access
    • My Winter Car will most likely be released in Early Access when it is first released, like MSC.
    • Latest progress report about MWC:

    • When asked about MWC's release date, Toplessgun says:

    • When asked "How done is MWC", Toplessgun responded with:

Major parts of the game are very different from the MSC, so that's why there has been a lot new things that had been made from scratch.
    • December 2022 progress report about MWC:

    • Personal Speculation: I think the game is fairly likely to release in 2024, but I wouldn't count on it.

If there is any inaccurate or missing info here please let me know! Like I mentioned, I will edit this post as more info about MWC is revealed.
