MSC Crashing PC with a black screen

Update: I've been just trying to play the game normally and continue my research online to fix my problem. In the time between when I wrote the post and now, MSC has wiped my save data. Does anyone know an instance where the game crashing would wipe the save data?

I've looked all over the internet and haven't found someone with a similar problem so I'm posting here to see if someone might know a solution.

The problem is that after a certain point of playing MSC, the game will crash my entire computer leaving only a black screen. Nothing can be inputted, my mouse (which is wireless) will start flashing which indicates it's not connected, and my monitor will go completely black and refuse any inputs like brightness or display settings. On top of this, my PC won't turn off, even after holding the power button for 10 seconds. The only way I can turn the PC off and on again is by flipping the power switch and turning my computer back on.

I've looked online to see if there is any solution and the closest I've found is getting a new graphics card as it pertains to the black screen. I don't think this is the case though as I got a brand new graphics card only a year ago. My drivers are all updated so it's not that. There will be times when I can play the game for hours on end and there's no problem but there are times when it crashes in under 5 minutes. I do have a cheat box mod installed but I highly doubt that's causing the crashes.

I am at a complete loss as to how to fix this. Does anyone know any fix to this problem or an idea of a fix?

Unfortunately, I have. I verified them multiple times to no avail.
