When done making changes you have to save them, under the file menu. Then reload.

Maybe not the brightest question, but is your car even broken?

When using MSCEditor for such a thing you need to disable automatic saving at steam. Than you run the editor, do the change and save. After that you play the game, in the best case the car is fixed. Save at a toilet. Close the game, activate automatic saving at steam again and play the game. Car should be fixed. If not try the option were the Editor delets this one file.

The editor isn't designed to fix your issues for you. It's better used as a diagnostic tool. Look at what parts are not installed, which parts have loose bolts, and which parts are broken in the editor, and then fix them in-game. The Satsuma is a complex thing, and you really don't want to experience bugs involving it.

It's deleting the file that keeps info about your car's body, so it fixes the car's body and nothing else.

Doing what exactly? You open the MSCE and what are you doing next?

I meant the 'repair bodywork' button that is repairing damage at the car body or for when the windshield is gone.

But, what do you want to repair exactly is the question in the end.
