An example of high voltage but low amperage is an ignition coil these generally run at about 20000 volts but at only around 30 milliamps, more than enough to shock you but not enough to kill you, generally thats why it hurts like hell but is harmless
An example of low voltage and high amperage is a car battery, these generally run at about 6 or 12 volts but can output like 600 amps, more than enough to kill you but the voltage is so low none of it can flow, this is why you can touch the two battery terminals and not die, most you would get is maybe a little shock if you wet your hands enough
An example of high voltage and high amperage is your wall outlet, these run at 120 volts or 240 volts depending on location and can output generally 15/30 amps, more than enough voltage to shock you and more than enough amperage to kill you this is why outlets are so dangerous. (fun fact previous two example were Direct Current which is pretty safe but this is Alternating Current which is much more dangerous because it will actually make you grab onto the wire and not be able to let go due to the muscle contractions)
So thats why i think this feature is stupid and unrealistic
I agree. If you were really drunk, and stuck your finger into the fuse receptacle when the panel is hot, you would get fried. That would be expected.
On the car the only high voltage system is the ignition coil and even then it is high voltage but low amperage. Maybe if the player was drunk enough to stick their tongue on the output while standing in a puddle of their own urine, and their friend tried turning the engine over, maybe.
But I'm going to be careful of how much I complain about how irritating this game is, because the game dev might start uncontrollably masturbating.
Your save file should be located in "C:\Users\(PC name)\AppData\LocalLow\Amistech\My Summer Car" (you may need to unhide hidden folders)
There's only so many hours in my IRL lifetime, I can't be wasting them on restarting the game from scratch for every glitchy death. But even with backups, dying still has consequences, which can't be said for non-permadeath mode. That's the system that suits my own tastes best for this game, and I'm not alone in that thinking.
Mortal mode also deletes your items.txt file, so yes it's best to just copy the entire folder.
Honestly though it feels like Mortal mode is just the game dev trolling the player, given all of these hidden little death traps.
