Dosnt work, i tried it for a good 30 minutes now and nothing. The engine hoist does not connect with the engine no matter how i aligne it.
Apart from that the hoist points are offset to the engine mounts, the hoist on the left side is a lot lower than on the right side.
The old way with bolts being present the whole time worked a lot better....
Put it in the engine bay, grab the engine block with your kung-fu grip, point it in the correct direction and plop onto the crate. Wiggle it a little to align the bolts.
And useful features are being revamped and replaced with a lot more mediocre solutions.
This is a beta after all. A beta is supposed to ylield player feedback. Player feedback that should be taken into account. Otherwise it's just a cheap excuse for being lazy and dragging the beta phase out as mutch as possible.
Challenge accepted, will make a video when I get home tonight.
And Flang, I LOVE the beer crate idea! Never thought about that, thanks!

With oil pan attached, just put the "bulge" outside the table to make the engine stand flat.
With gearbox attached it should be standing flat to mount as in video as well.
Jup, I do it in the exact same way, works everytime.
I like to play the game as realistically as possible and you can't carry a fully assembled engine plus gearbox.
Meanwhile in Australia... https://youtu.be/gkv6HuE8dV0
P.S. Is that bagpipe playing AC/DC?
they make it stand tall enough for the crane to grab it, and of course have to be facing correct direction to the car, and i remember the old way you mentioned, which tbh was the last time i played and this new way is better in my view
