Engine Hoist is missing bolts
Well, i just build the car, the engine and now i'm about to unite both of them. I would if i only could. The engine hoist does not have any bolts.

How am i supposed to get the engine into the engine bay?

When you get the hoist in the correct position around the engine, you will here a dull clunk and the bolts will appear.

You have to line up the chains of the hoist exactly with the mounting points on the engine. And the exhaust and intake have to be pointed AWAY from the engine hoist.

Dosnt work, i tried it for a good 30 minutes now and nothing. The engine hoist does not connect with the engine no matter how i aligne it.

Apart from that the hoist points are offset to the engine mounts, the hoist on the left side is a lot lower than on the right side.

The old way with bolts being present the whole time worked a lot better....

BEER CRATE - it's the perfect height to align the mounts.
Put it in the engine bay, grab the engine block with your kung-fu grip, point it in the correct direction and plop onto the crate. Wiggle it a little to align the bolts.

I dare anyone to upload a video of you fitting the engine to the engine hoist. Show me how easy it is guys ...

seriously this game turned into a chore. It's been fun after release and now its bloated with features that should have been added once the game is out of beta. Because all they do is to distract the player who cant even fully test the core mechanics.

And useful features are being revamped and replaced with a lot more mediocre solutions.

This is a beta after all. A beta is supposed to ylield player feedback. Player feedback that should be taken into account. Otherwise it's just a cheap excuse for being lazy and dragging the beta phase out as mutch as possible.

With oil pan attached, just put the "bulge" outside the table to make the engine stand flat.
With gearbox attached it should be standing flat to mount as in video as well.

I like to play the game as realistically as possible and you can't carry a fully assembled engine plus gearbox.

the engine can be attached quite early in the build, however i have noticed in the last run that if you try and put it on the crane without some things like the crankshaft pulley, engine plate those type of parts that lift it up of the floor a notch or two...

they make it stand tall enough for the crane to grab it, and of course have to be facing correct direction to the car, and i remember the old way you mentioned, which tbh was the last time i played and this new way is better in my view
