Answered phone and died

Just got killed by the phone after answering it. Kinda of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing to put in the game as it just felt like an unfair way to die. I mean other ways to die like slamming into a tree at 100km/h is fair enough, but answering the phone? what the hell.

Was this just a random event, or did i do something to trigger it. Earlier I did immdediatly hang up the phone after picking it up. Did this cause it?

Lightning struck, perhaps? At least there is an achievement for dying to answering phone during thunder storm. That used to be a thing when people still used landlines.

Lightning storms can actually make landline phones ring, and 1-2 people got killed worldwide during the heydays of landline according to internet. Overvoltage protection wasn't a thing yet back then.

it can and will if they're not surge protected and often lightining also burns the wires and starts an electrical fire as well hence advice at the coutry side is to pull all expensive stuff out of the socket during thunderstorms.
