Can't Reverse on the Automatic Muscle Car

Only the first time i start it i can Reverse
The Shift goes like P > R > N > D > 2 > 1 ( R is Reverse )
Then i go to N...then D etc... But can't go back to P or R, only N D 2 1
Even if i turn on/off the engine...
The only way is to save somewhere then go back in the game to have the shift on P again.
