Can't remove part
I was assembling the engine and put the cranksaft and then the timing cover. I tried putting a piston but I had forgotten to tighen something so the crankshaft flew off. The timing cover which I had not screwed in yet, I can't remove it and I can't do anything to it. Am I screwed? I tried saving and reloading but didn't work.

I had the same problem. My cranksaft fell off even with oilpot attached :P
And timing cover is glued to the "engine" now...

Is it a feature or a bug?

Haven't been able to figure out how to remove it, looks like it's restart o'clock. Probably best to assemble the engine before doing anything else in case something goes wrong again.

Use wrenches in toolbox and than right click on part to fell off
Yeah that is how it usually works but not with this one.
Maybe I need to hit it with an axe ^^

Maybe its stuck in body did you tried just take it with left mouse button like you taking parts?

You need to take off some other parts first sometimes. The part can sometimes even not be in the engine.
Ill keep trying but the engine block isnt yet even attached to the car

Old topic, but since I just had the same problem...

If any engine part gets stuck to another and won't come off try to first disconnecting all other parts, even if those parts are not actually connected to the engine itself. Apparently things have to be connected and disconnected in certain order and that order can be messed up if things just "pop off" the engine for some reason.

My crankshaft with the pulley attached popped off the engine for some reason and after that I couldn't remove the timing cover from the engine block until I first disconnected the shaft from the pulley.

SO, in the end, it's just a bug, NOT A FEATURE, to get things fast, just go to MSC EDITOR, open ur save then "Satsuma report" and "Fix stuck parts", that might be enough
