How to start New Game..?

Just bought the game. looks amazing :D

only problem is... How do I start the game?

I select the car's color then hit "new Game"

Shows me a Drivers license. Now what?

There's only a "cancel" button and pressing enter or any other button does nothing.


Basically I'm stuck at the Drivers Liscense screen with no way to continue?

You need to fill out your name, in the first and second slots. After you've filled out those, a "begin" button appears.

haha oh man I feel dumb. I had no idea you could click on the name and enter it.

I'm having this issue as well, After I enter my name it does not show the Begin button.
Edit: It's working now, I didn't make my name long enough.

You click on the space where you're supposed to type your name, then you type your name.

Click directly on the field that says name on the drivers license,then there should be a clamp around it blinking,now just type ypur name.
Edit: clicking the blank space next to the field work aswell just like speed weed said

remember to uncheck permadeath on the driving license cause you can't disable it later unless you use savegame editor

And it can be any character you can type.

had the same issue when i bought the game month ago...well now i cant even get a satsuma to work every bolt tight nothing loose and i cant drive

Another issue which isn't detailed well here on the forums is that a read-only meshsave.txt file will interfere with starting a new game. You have to let the game write over the meshsave.txt file when starting a new game or the "begin" button will only freeze up and not start the game.
*People make their meshsave.txt file read-only to prevent permanent body damage to their cars.
