Fastest way to get to Teimos?
Is it faster/more fuel efficient to get to Teimos by turning right out of your property and taking backroads, or by turnling left and quickly getting onto the highway.

It is much safer to use the highway, especially when on keyboard.

When I first started playing I would never turn right because it's basically a death sentence if you don't know the road. Now there's seat belts so it's not so bad. If you're driving the ♥♥♥♥ truck, never take the highway or you're basically pissing fuel away.

No, its even worse. Now if you survive you still have to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ flip the car if you have it in a ditch.

Excuse me what? So you callconstantly changing gears which causes your RPM to jump up and down "saving fuel"..? The truck gets fuel efficent when its' RPM is stable and low- like any other vehicle, this can only be done on the highway. Also, it's just a big loop around the map, nothing to learn.

to be honest, the fastest way is to die (permadeath off) and spawning next to the church in town.

Punch the guy in the yellow car, and eventually you wake up at home ;)

What's the point of going to Teimo's if you leave all the stuff you bought there anyway?

You're excused. If you play with a shifter and clutch and keep the rpm between 1000 and 1500 you will basically use no fuel getting into town. As opposed to pegging it at 100+ kph on the highway which will drain your fuel. It's best go keep it at 60-70 which going to backway takes half as long.

This is a video game. It is not realistic. Your fuel economy is not calculated 100% accurately. Just driving slow and keeping your revs low will save your fuel even if you hold the go pedal to the floor the whole time.

Highway is the best for any controller, you don't have to keep your rpm between 1-1.5k- that's pointless. Claiming that it's safer to use the backroads when there is Pena lurking around is just dumb. And yes, you can have steady RPM on a keyboard, just keep tapping the throttle.

Fuel economy in MSC is rather realistic and many factors can affect it. Speed itself does not affect fuel efficiency, RPM does, if you keep it low enough and maintain steady speed you'll get to the town much faster and safer.

Oh, I only mean for the truck. Anything else, for sure, use the highway. But if you hit Pena with the truck it doesn't matter. The truck makes the same power between 1,000 and 2,500 rpm basically.

I'd add the boat to the ring. It's said it's probably the fastest and safest way. I'm quoting the Wiki here, I never did that trip myself. It's a long walk to the shop from the pier and back, especially if you're hauling a lot of stuff.
