The questions about wheels
Hi, I know the game is meant to simulate being a car enthusiast back in the days before you could check all the info you need in the internet, and that without proper literature and anyone to learn from player is meant to basically build a car by trial and error or check the guides outside of the game itself... But I'm still curious about some stuff.

As in title: which of technical details of different types of wheels are implemented in the game.
It's quite simple with tires: salvaged stock one are really worn and have abysmal grip, and there are standard road tires, "premium" road tires, and those optimized for racing respectively on dirt and on dry tarmac. (Correct me if I'm wrong)
What I'm really curious about are rims, especially since there is a lot of misinformation about them:
1. Does the game use correlation between tire width and grip (basically more contact surface = more grip)?
2. If 1. is true - are there two separate values: "narrow" (stock) and "wide" (aftermarket) wheels, or is it like every rim has its own width with differences between each model?
3. Does wheel configurations differ in weight?
4. if 3. is true - how much of this difference impact is simulated (like unsprung weight, wheel inertia, just overall mass etc.)?
5. if 3. is true - how much does each model of rim weight?
6. Does a rim/tire wheel configurations differ in diameter? (there are some rumors about this) and does it cause speedometer to show incorrect values?
7. Are different steering wheels (these are wheels too!!!) still cosmetic only, or are there some slight functional differences apart from dashboard visibility and horn (for example weight)?

Sorry for digging into this too deep, I just wanna Satsuma to reach ultimate form and set of better rims and tires is the first and most useful mod in the most of projects. Also: Weight Reduction Baby! Btw. it would be a neat feature if it would be possible to check each part mass using the measurement device (i already used the "w word" too much in this thread) in the parents bedroom (sorry if I didn't notice it's already implemented, I can't check this right now, as I'm just gathering info and planning ahead for days when I will be able to play MSC again).
Cheers.

it's like bigger the map more time it will take to get to distination and chance of making a move or slight turn will ?

to have a precis data or detail it's asking to perfect the size of the game map and car chanllange of life situation?

Aftermarket rims - 14x6.5j - 170mm wide tires
Stock rims - 13x6j - 140mm wide tires

Width and sidewall height may vary from different tire choice, which yes does effect the speedometer reading.

The tire sidewall height drops enough to compensate for the 14 inch wheels offset in the speedometer, meaning that the 14s have the same diameter as the 13s would on the same tire type.

Meaning that yes, rim choice does not matter at all compared to tires.

They all weigh the same and have the same inertia while installed to the car

steering wheels are cosmetic / ricer "upgrades"

Thx a lot! And I don't expect any game to be 100% accurate, MSC is really impressive. I just tend to overanalyze everything I work on...
