Recommend buying the gauges from the catologue, one of them shows fuel/air ratio so you can tune easily
Without the gauge, in case you don't have it in the future, check the colour of the smoke coming from the zorst. You're aiming for a light grey/ transparent colour coming from the back.
If the car is idling poorly, down on power and runs nicley on the choke, then she might be running a bit lean.
If the smoke coming through is black, it's down on power again, and it sounds rough on idle, then it might be a bit to rich.
Try to adjust you idle screw 1/4 of a turn a time, and look/ listen to what's going on with the zorst pipe.
Anyway, hope that helps!
There is a yellow post box outside the shop front door. It should open when you approach it with the envelope
Have you had a go at pulling the choke all the way out? Does it cut out like this when the engine is hot or only when it's cold?
Provided that you haven't messed around with the valves just yet, then it sounds like it isn't getting enough air - if it's cutting out on full choke then that means there should be a load of petrol going in there (I think)
Try winding the idle screw out a little bit, this should restrict the petrol (Again, I think). Try winding it out like a half a turn each time and see if any difference occurs.
odd, what happens if you screw it in?
