Engine Runs but car won't move.

Just built up my first car, skipped the extra seats and fenders etc but all other parts are installed. The engine is running fine without the need to choke or anything. Can gear up and down but the car just won't move. I've already checked the handbrake. Thanks in advance :D

this happens with a lot of people, its the halfshaft that keeps falling off for some reason, take it off, loose the big bolt on the break pad (14mm) and put the shaft back.

It is Noot, beware that even if you put permadeath off, it will still be a 40 minute walk back home from town unless you died with ur car in the town that is

Ive been struggling with this problem for a good amount of hours and can't find any lose clutch lines or lose bolts in general. Considering taking this pos to the mechanic and seeing if they could fix it.

I'm in a same situation. I have spent many hours already just by going through all the bolts that are in some way linked to clutch, halfshafts or gearbox and they're all in place. I also have all the fluids in. The engine runs really well but I just can't get it to move no matter what I do... If the mechanic helped, it would be really nice if you confirmed it here so I could also get my car to finally move.

first thing, check fluids, sometimes they leak, sometimes you forget to put it in the first place.

second: start from the clutch master thing and check everything until you get to your gear stick

well it works now at least. Still overheating and stalling so I need to fix that though :P

Took the gearbox and the clutch appart for the 2nd time and now it works. Guess im just a noob

I am having a problem myself
The engine starts, but only if i pump the gas
Once i release, it cycles down and then stops
If i do not pump the gas, it just wheezes out
On the dash there is a red light coming on, on the left of the speedo
It looks like an oil light, but the oil tank is full, as are all the others
I have attached all but the doors, body panels and exhaust
I want to move the car into the garage to fit the exhaust with the pit

I've noticed that the car seems to get bugged sometimes, i.e. the car might sometimes start after saving and loading.

That seemed to work for me
The red oil light still comes on
But it starts even without pumping the gas
Stops from time to time while moving, but will get it serviced during next play

I don't know about them oil lights. It might be that it whants you too drain and put some new in though if this game has such a system. There is what looks like and oil drainage bolt under the engine, I doubt you would actually see the oil sipping out though.

I'm frustrated: I built it all, but because I was crap at tuning the engine, I towed it to the mechanic and paid to have it all checked and fixed. After that, it ran and moved, but I suddenly decided to save the game before I went any further. I'd only driven a few metres. But when I reloaded the game, the car was totally stuck - revs but doesn't move. Not checked the fluid levels, though.
