Full detail instructions for Fan belt installation
1. You need to buy a fan belt from Teimo's store, its located in the wall next to brake fluid(left), price: 295mk
2. You should have the engine installed in the car and other parts set in engine.
3. Make sure that the alternator screw is loose (with screwdriver)
4. With hand, move the alternator as close as possible to the water pump (by scrolling)
5. Then, install the fan belt around the alternator, water pump and crankshaft pulley
6. After that, make sure you move the alternator back as far as possible from the
water pump by hand and tighten the alternator screw after to tighten the fan belt so it wont drop off (like mine did :D)
7. should work now

i never install the engine in the car untill i installed every single part into it i can. Just makes thing more difficult once it's in the car.

Careful there m8. If you pull the alternator all the way to the right you will snap the fan belt after some driving, leaving you stranded with a busted engine.
Here's how I did it eventually: start the engine and keep tightening that alternator until the belt stops squeaking . Not any further. Then tighten the screw again and take care that the alternator doesn't move in the process. ( pro-tip: loosen the screw by just 1 click will make it easier)

So do I only need to change it when the red altenator light inside the car comes on?

i never saw the belt considering that issue. it is often only the altenator it self that caused that.
in short, you will likely just need to replace the altenator it self
