Here's how I did it eventually: start the engine and keep tightening that alternator until the belt stops squeaking . Not any further. Then tighten the screw again and take care that the alternator doesn't move in the process. ( pro-tip: loosen the screw by just 1 click will make it easier)
I did exactly that and the belt fell of after some driving
in short, you will likely just need to replace the altenator it self
