Broken Piston?

Whats up with the broken Piston? I know i had failed the car building at the point when i ran the car without cooling for a moment, but is there a way to find replacement piston?

Apparently you need to either tow the car to the mechanic in Loppe or rebuild the engine with less pistons and drive it there. Then you have to get your engine repaired and maybe tuned there, it costs quite a bit.

I think it is possible in the game but I'm not entirel sure. Currently I'm trying to tow my car to the mechanic for the same reason, not going too well though.

In real life ? This isn't harming the engine that one of the 4 Cylinders is empty ?

You lose power in game by doing this ?

Will the mechanic fix a car that is delivered with the broken piston missing?

Yeah i think he doesn't repair or get "stuck" in his work when parts are missing, i gave him my car with a door missing and he just repaired some parts but no new door, he didn't repaired the body, or maybe i took my car too soon, i don't know if there's a progression in his work or the car is directly finished, never waited for his call because he's too long and i think it's glitched because this never happened

The bug where the mechanic takes too long was fixed in the latest patch. Although I guess it introduced a new one where I got back from mechanic, after refueling the Ferndale in town, ate some sausages and the mechanic called that I should pick up my car. The same day. Although that was continuing a save where the mechanic never called me the first time I left my car there and just picked it up.

Ok, I guess I'll have to go search the broken piston from the landfill since it was not in the engine or the carage. I guess it glitched through the grease pit floor...

It would be nice if broken parts wouldn't have to be in the car for it to be fixed by the mechanic.

Yeaaaah this would spawn a lot of different parts everywhere on the map lol, and then you could make a collection of all the pistons you broke in your living room
