You use it by pressing R, if RPM goes up you are on low range and down you are in high range, in low your max speed is 40kmh and in high, well, you figure it out...
Low 1 to 6 = gear 1 to 6
High 1 to 6 = gear 7 to 12
So if you're in Low 6 and need to shift up, you need to go to High 1 next, and then high 2, etc.
If you're using keyboard and sequential, that's a bit of a hassle, so:
When the truck is empty, you can easily drive using just the High range.
And when it's full, try starting in Low 3 and then going to High 1.
And then there's Scania. They use range AND split.
Normally you would go for L6 - H3/4. It works for most time with full load to. (Unless going up the steepest of hills)
