Car slowly loses power and dies.
OK I have searched the discussion and can't see a similar problem.

I have just finished the car. All fueled and oil and fluids. No leaks I can see.

When I turn the ignition it makes a grindy noise and doesn't turn over. I try a few times and finally it turns. After few seconds the engine starts.

There are no obvious problems. No loud noises or screeches. Car revs fine. So I sit in the car and rev the engine on and off to warm the car up.

But here is the problem. After 10-15 seconds the revs get less and less powerful and the engine gets quieter. No matter how hard I rev is slowly loses power before cutting out.

When I turn the ignition again there is nothing. No grindy sound no lights. So maybe battery is somehow now drained or something has broken...

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

If you are using the black battery then it most likely lost power, since that battery sucks. The grindy noise sounds like it could be a bad starter. There's a possibility you have a bad fuel pump as well but, just go to Tiemo's and get a new Battery, charge her up and see what happens.

The starter does behave like that when it's very worn, yes. The main problem does sound like the alternator isn't charging the battery at all, either due to forgotten wiring, missing belt or entirely failed component.

Spark plugs. I had this problem and didn't know why until I changed my spark plugs

The car struggles to keep RPM up, and/or refusing to start again
A) The car has run out of fuel, use a full Jerrycan to fill it back up or tow it to Teimos using the Gifu or Kekmet.
B) The fuel pump has died/is close to breaking completely, remove the pump and go to Fleetari Repair Shop to purchase a new one.

The car is underpowered and the RPM goes up and down
A) One or more of the pistons is almost broken, buy new ones or service the current ones at the repair shop. This is apparent if a blueish smoke is emitted from the exhaust, as the cracked piston heads are letting oil into the fuel mixture.
B) The spark plugs are almost broken, buy a new box of them from Teimo's Shop and replace the old ones.
C) The fuel pump is almost broken, replace it at the repair shop.

Throttle response is inconsistent, car cannot idle properly
A) The spark plugs are either completely burned out, or not tightened enough.

he just buildt the car, I assume its impossible to buy broken spark plugs from the store.

Hey all thanks for replying.

So the battery was one from the shop so I charged the black one and swaped it in. I got new spark plugs to try even though the ones I put in were new.

This combination solved the power decrease problem. I don't understand why store bought battery and spark plugs were somehow not working.

Also I looked at altinator after it was running and it was not wired up. So I did that. Maybe that's why the car wouldn't start up again after it lost power.

The car drives terribly. The throttle is really jerky and it stalls so easily. But that's a different issue I guess!

Thanks for the help.

I would suggest writing down this link. it has sollutions to many problems with the satsuma. Very useful to look through when something is wrong:

And this is also very handy:

Thanks for these. I did try and search for the power issue but I didn't see anyone else with a similar issue.
