On the other hand, pretty dumb to start work on a new project before the last one is complete, especially considering noted circumstances. The excuse that it's only a single developer isn't very valid when he willingly juggles two projects.
If he wouldent work on MWC we would get nothing in return and he would just have to wait adding last useless small features to MSC.
The ending of the story has already been implemented.
I think the reason Toplessgun doesn't release MSC as an official version is that it's almost the same as the current Early Access version.
And in the four years since the release of MSC, TG has received and responded to bug fix requests from many users.
Bugs that haven't been fixed at this time can be imagined to be physically impossible or technically or mentally difficult for him.
Personally, there are no more bugs I would like him to fix.
Because it is MSC including that.
If MSC had no bugs, it would be a bit boring game.
If we wait for MWC to start after the perfect MSC is completed, MWC development will not start forever.
Because, There is no one who can make perfect things.
No game is perfect and a release do not have to be, and it certainly do not mean it can be updated with serious bug fixes.
And it's a matter of principle. Besides, I responded to someone saying it's hard to work on two projects simultaneously, and it's a poor excuse.
I don't see providing a working product people paid for as something particularly commendable. We are customers after all.
Also, what kind of reasoning is that? It should be buggy? That's.. unconventional.
Nothing in return for what? You'll have to pay for the new game. The developer owes you nothing until that transaction has been made. As opposed to this game where we have bought it and are owed a fully released product, and work on another project prevents that.
Besides, unless the plan is to not release this game until the new game also exits early access the amount of work and time would be exactly the same.
As for the reason, I'm not a developer, so I can't give an accurate answer, but as I mentioned earlier, it's already completed.
I haven't officially released the finished product, so I've never seen any complaints on this forum that MSC isn't worth the money.
Rather, I've seen a lot of comments that it's worth the money, even though it's Early Access.
And I think MSC is an unconventional game in the first place... Lol
I'm not going to attack you.
I think the great mods you create should be praised. :)
Starting a new game before finishing the previous Early Access project is not a very good look. I personally don't care, but I understand if other people find it strange.
