Steam allows you to download previous versions of any game, google it - it's pretty simple. If you want pre release builds, tough ♥♥♥♥, you aren't getting them safely. There isn't anything interesting about them anyways.

If the console throws an error like Depot download failed : Manifest not available you can't roll back to that manifest using the SteamCMD.

You'll need this tool[github.com]. You can download it here here[github.com].

Once downloaded, extract the archive and open the folder in file explorer. Then click on the file path at the top and type CMD in front of it. This will open the folder in the Windows Command Line.

Now just run the library like this (with your arguments filled in):

dotnet DepotDownloader.dll -app APPID -depot DEPOTID -manifest MANIFEST -username STEAMUSERNAME -password PASSWORD -validate

It needs your steam login credentials because you're downloading files off Steam servers.
Example: This will download the 25 October 2018 release:

dotnet DepotDownloader.dll -app 516750 -depot 516751 -manifest 1568146489109580247 -username durkhaz -password donttrythis -validate

You can find the manifests here: here[steamdb.info]

If you're getting an error like dotnet is not recognized, make sure you have
.NET Framework [dotnet.microsoft.com] installed.

people have put older versions out on the internet
just look up the version you want on youtube
and somone has bound to have made a free download when that version was out but be careful out there somtimes

Not really no, would you rather wanna do the wiring and start with no tires or spark plugs for The car or basically have all the parts of of the car other than the fan belt and be able to get tires with the rims from the catalog when you order them?

People are so ungrateful for all the content that's been added, Topless could easily have just stopped when the game got out on Steam, grabbed his money and be done with it. But he has kept updating the game for 4 years since release and added a ton of new stuff for free, even lowered the game price!

At least it's legit but I really don't understand what's the deal about downgrading the game because a few things got harder. In a permadeath hardcore game that's meant to be as difficult and unforgiving as possible.
