[SOLVED] CD doesn't go into the CD Player
I bought the CD Player, loaded some songs onto a CD, and tried to put the CD into the player, but it didn't go in. No check mark appeared, and when I let go of it near the CD slot, it just jiggled around. Here is a recording of what was going on.

Tough luck :D I don't know what else that can help, try a different CD i guess (you can have 3 nowadays, just copy the songs to another CD and see if that goes in properly)

edit: oh ffs you keep editing your posts right after I reply xd

edit of edit: Since you actually have save backups, are you by any chance using MSCE? If you got the CD player through there, did you actually uninstall the radio? They glitch out like crazy when you have both installed at once!

Either there's already a CD in it or you just have to put the CD a little further forward. If this doesn't work then restart the game.

Hmm, didn't work. And, there is no CD already in the player.

There shouldn't be a checkmark, you just hold the CD near the player and drop it with left click. It should go into the drive automatically, otherwise something's very wrong with your game :D

Yeah, nothing happens. I even tried with a different save file. I'll try again from a save from about a year or two ago, well before I started having this problem.

Well if you've tried with different saves, your CD player might have glitched. Just detach it and put it back in place, that might work. Try loading the game once without importing music, save, reload your game again but with the music imported.

OK, I'll try that.

Damn, my game won't save properly. I try to save, but when I load back in the time doesn't change, and the CD doesn't stay on the car seat where I left it.

Are you using any mods? If not, your particular save is likely corrupted.
chick-gen jockey Nov 20, 2020 @ 12:06pm
Nah, no mods. I guess my save is corrupted lol. Gonna load an old one and continue on from there.

Yeah, I was using MSCE to restore lost progress after a power cut. I'm pretty sure I uninstalled the radio, though...

And, I back up my saves manually, not through MSCE.

Double-check that. I really have no other suggestions at this point and i'm too drunk to think of much else XD

Ok lmao. Thanks for the help, it is much appreciated. Seems that I can save on my old save, but I still should verify game files through steam because the CD player doesn't work in my old save either. It wasn't glitched into the radio, I checked.

Yep, 7 files failed to vaildate.
