Kilju bucket won't "bubble"

So yeterday i quickly started up the game and i dident hear the bubbling from the kilju bucket, I checked if it was done but all the ingredients were still at the bottom while the water was still clear. It bubbled before i quit the game and even after shaking for a while it dident start bubbling.
Unless there is some bug with filling it with water AFTER putting in the ingredients (since that makes it bubble instantly instead of having to shake it)

Also is this kilju recipe actually a real thing? Does Sugar+Yeast+water make an alcoholic drink? I don't drink alcohol myself so i barely know anything about it. Doesn't real alcohol require "Hop" (or whatever they put in beer) to actually become alcoholic?

If it stops bubbling then its ready. When its ready, it has always been clear to me with some brown looking stuff on the bottom

Yes, that's exactly how alcoholic beverages are made. The yeast uses the sugar as energy, producing carbon dioxide and ethanol as a byproduct. Hops, and other ingredients, are used for flavouring, whereas kilju, if made correctly, doesn't taste like anything except alcohol. Usually there's more or less impurities from the yeast etc. making it taste like crap.

Then again, you don't drink it for flavour :D

How Jokke says it's sugar wine and hops are not a part of wine brewing. Hops are an ingredient used in brewing beer so yeah, sugar and water and yeast will make alcohol.

that was a really quick batch then. I swore i only placed it for like a day.

The only way to be absolutely sure is to try and bottle it.

Which won't do much, it still gets labeled kilju even if there's no alcohol. So you'll have to either let Jokke try it or try it yourself.
