My toolbox disappeared, doesn't seem to be at the scrapyard either :(

Does anyone have experience with that scenario?

This is what I did:

I think I left it sitting on the Satsuma.
I drove off with the craptanker, did 3 pump jobs, came back with fatigue way in the red, went straight to bed, woke up, saved, loaded and found no toolbox outside :(


I'd really like to get that toolbox back. My car was 80% built and running well, I had money, my yard looked nicely littered with empty brake fluid bottles and empty beer cases...

Solved it by using a Hex editor to copy the revelant bit of defaultES2file.txt from a new game into my save.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I did. The guide explains it better than I could have, because I figured it out myself and never knew exactly where each item ended and where the next began. Failed a few times.
