Can't tighten bolt when it's green.

I'm using the new Ratchet Set (I've been using it throughout building the whole car) and I finished the suspension and lowered the complete engine into my car, Now I'm just adding in the few things under the hood, but I can't tighten the two bolts on the clutch lining. I used f (E in my case) and switched it to tighten and it wont work. It's green and the right size. Help?

By the way I tried using MCS Editor and and taking out the clutch lining and putting it in and it didn't work.

Update again, I tried using the regular wrenches and it worked. I don't know why...But incase anyone else has my problem I'll leave this thread.

It makes sense, only a spanner will reach around a clutch or brake line nut...because they are attached to the lines. A socket will not be able to do that, not in game or real life

"The ratchet set is an "upgraded" version of the spanner set. Although the ratchet set is faster to use when tightening bolts, it cannot be used to tighten nuts that are attached to rods/pipes (e.g. the brake lining nuts)."

tightening bolts and loosening them are 2 different modes press f to switch modes i just found that out :/

Yeah, even though I am a mechanic, this drove me nuts the first time I ran into it. Then I realized DUH, I'm trying to tighten a nut that's on a line, how would my ratchet ever fit over it? Derp!
