Engine Block
Those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I'm sure there is more. There is also visual damage on broken parts.
Edit: Added Engine Block
Can we buy these parts from Car Repair Shop? Also, block is sold there. Do we need to buy a new block afterwards?
How long will stock parts in the garage work properly? What does it depend on? Usage, time or both?
The parts when you start a new game will vary, generally under 30% already (out of possible 100) The replacement parts from the shop are not nearly as bad, not 100%, but not crap either.
Problem I see is its pointless to build it because by the time you get it inspected, and I mean straight there and back, it's time to tear down the engine and replace parts. Due to the low % they are when you start new game. But again, we are fixing up a clunker, so this is expected, its what the Dev wants, to provide more challenge. But also you kind of need to use the beginning time spent at home for a bit (after buying and bringing back food & drink); the reason for this is, you go ahead and just take the time to build up Satsuma, cause you need to be home for those Job Calls to come in, which you want to have come in so you can start making money with Sewage Truck. Also you do not require the "Wood Guy" to call you; you can deliver to him, once per day, between approx 8am-8pm. If you fill Trailer with Wood, it should stay that way if you should go to save/load. So you could fill it, then go do something else, then when ready, go make the delivery.
When I start new game now (without any cheating with editor, etc.) first thing is either; Van or Boat to the Store/Gas Station. Don't forget about Boat, its good to use in beginning, then stop by the Summer Cabin on the Island, grab the Kilju stuff (I like to grab the Lamp too) put in boat, now head back home, since by this time you'll need at least a drink. Remember once you start buying more food and drink, keep some Beer and Food in vehicles, like Van and Sewage Truck, so you have some available on the go. Otherwise at the start, only place that has any is Home and Store, no where else. Eventually after you make more money, place some food and drink around the map at some key areas if need be, like at the Mechanic, and maybe at Bus Stops too. When I ride Bus, I take a case of Beer with me and hold on to it during the travel period.
Using the Boat to go from Home to Store is not a good idea if you are getting alot, cause then you will have to truck those items, one by one (this is why grocery bag helps, be careful not to open it at a bad spot, or when using Boat); from store to boat, which will be quite time consuming. Do not let anything fall from boat into the lake, it will essentially be lost for most part.
When you go to grab all the needed fluids for Satsuma, best to take Van or Sewage Truck, the later vehicle is much more stable on the road. Van is highly unstable over 80kmph, and you have to be careful a bit in 1st gear on Van, cause it will spin-out or generally spin-wheels much more easily.
Don't forget to grab both jerry cans and fill them up, in case you need. The light green is 98-Ocatane for Satsuma, this will be empty and need filling to get Satsuma started up whenever you're ready to get to that point. The Diesel one is just in case you need extra, for Tractor, Van, Sewage Truck.
