Fleetari body repair and rust
Well for the longest time since 2017 I've kept my Satsuma rusty and as-I-found-it.

Unfortunately I (once again) encountered a collision bug where my body panels were vibrating against one another and caused them to deform.

Apparently deleting the meshsave no longer resets deformation; Topless gun is onto us.

My only option is to go to Fleetari's however from what I can tell, deformation fixing comes with rust repair. I don't want rust repair.

I like my rusty satsuma, but my hood is bowing inwards on the sides from colliding with the fenders. And I notice a spot on the doors where the mesh has inverted from the same scenario.

Where can I get some divine intervention so I can keep my rusty jalopy, but also get the bodywork fixed?

Perhaps is there a flag in MSCeditor i can revert the rust after I get it repaired?

I'd consider using a custom skin paintjob with rust overlay but it doesn't feel the same.
its also an expensive gesture when compared to minor dent fixing.

Yes there is a way to do so with MSC Editor. Type in "painttype" in the filter on the bottom left. Paint type 0 is rusty iirc, & I think type 1 is just normal. Type 3 & 4 are metallic & something else, I don't remember.

Alright I'll try that.

Alright that worked, always wondered what that value was for.

While I was there was able to get the cream paint back too.

Trouble is I don't look forward to doing that every damn time I get a small dent and want it fixed.

You can just not fix it. I did that for a while with my rusty satsuma. I painted it all different colors then set it to rusty. The beat up car went well with the paint job. However it got so beat up that the bolts for the fender were floating with a huge gap between them & the fender.

You could set meshsave to read only after getting the satsuma fixed so that the dents won't be saved.
