Car stalling when driving from a stand still
Its really strange to me that the stock carb and exhaust allows the car to be driven at low rpms, when driving away when you're stopped. But when you spend nearly 10 grand in a new carb, exhaust and a radiator, and then you need to basically floor it when stopped to not stall the car out.... To me that makes no sense.. As I just dont like revving the crap out of the thing and spin the tires every time, to just get going..

I have the race carb on it, i also tuned the valves, the afr is at 13.1, and the car makes 118hp and 126torque with the muffler on it. It doesn't matter if the car is at operating temp or not.

maybe you should replace some of your parts as they could be in bad condition.
like the pistons etc..

i havent had any problems with the racing carbs and stuff. my satsuma almost never stalls.
so it must be caused by something that you are doing wrong.

this isn't quite true, pistons or most other stuff doesn't affect the engine power when they're low condition, it only makes the engine fail when they break, but crank shaft and head gasket DO affect engine power when they aren't far from breaking, so it might be that, or like you said, placebo of some kind, or OP isn't waiting for the engine to warm up properly or not using choke, which is important for a tuned engine to run.

Pistons should effect engine power, when they is below 10%.

can you cite where you learned this? i never heard of this before, other than them just preventing the engine from starting entirely.

I mean, it was topless how said it.
yeah i get that but, where, when? do you remember at all?

The parts that wear out, I've recently replaced them all so they're all at 100% wear value in the editor. And I've recently retuned the carb so it does run a little better and idles higher. The AFR is at 13.1, and it idles at 905rpm than 750 before. And I drive using a controller (xbox controller) with auto clutch on as I can't drive without it lol. And I am not a noob at this, I've been playing this game for years now.
What I mean about the stalling is, it'll stall out if I dont bump the gas when I put it in gear. Doesn't matter if the engine is warm or cold, it does the same thing. Only reason why this bugs me is that I like roleplaying, and i dont like to rev the piss out of it to just get going. Just feels strange to me that on the stock setup, I dont have to bump the gas to get going. I can stay at 30% throttle or even 20 with the stock setup. With the tuned parts, I basically have to floor it in order for it to not stall out.

When I do get going the car is very fast and I got at 16.4 or something at the dragstrip with the rally wheels and the full body kit. Tons of wheel spin though. I have a screenshot of the car on my profile page. I do have mods, but nothing that modifys the performance of car in any way.

your timing could be the issue. as well as ur carb tuning. as said b4 make sure that ur pistons are good as weel as your crank. the crank is easy to diagnose as it causes the car to shake really bad bc it has been thrown off balance.

Tuning is the key to everything, no matter what carbs you have you need to have a good tune. If you are struggling to pull away, lean the mixture slightly - this will give you much more low end power. I even found in the early days of the game, pulling the choke out just a tad was enough to lean the mixture slighty - just enough to gain some low RPM power.

it was in the change log a while back.
it said that if pistons are below 10% they wont perform very well.
i even had this problem when the update came out that changed this.
(my satsuma didnt even start because the pistons were all under 10%)

pulling the choke richens the mixture, and 13.1 (the consensus as the "best" tune) is a rich mixture, not a lean one. moar boom=moar powah.

ok i'll have a look, thanks.
since you said you're using an Xbox controller you could use one of your sticks (in my case the right stick pushed left) to operate the clutch. Should help with your hunger for roleplaying :D

i am having this same problem after installing the twin carburetor

You're running rich which is causing the engine to bog and lose power. The current A/F ratio sounds like it's 8:1 or lower, thus causing the engine to pretty much bog down and not be able to run properly.
Adjust the carb or take it to Fleetari and he can do it.
No carb comes pre-tuned for a specific vehicle unless you pay specifically for it, other wise the A/F ratio is just going to be real wack. This applies in game too.
