car wont star after i installed new carb

well after i installed the carb i went to start it it started ran for 10 secounds the died and never started again plz help

does the engine turn over or not run at all? which carb did you get? they should be ready out of the box, but you might need to use the choke to get it idling.

i have that carb myself, it's a pain in the ass to tune, mine worked out of the box but i don't know if it's random for each person. couple of things to check; make sure the car has fuel (which seems obvious but it's an easy mistake to make), make sure the carb is bolted on properly, should be 5 bolts iirc, once you're sure those are sorted, try starting again with the choke pulled all the way out and pump the throttle while you're starting, if it doesn't fire then, something has probably broken.

well the bolts were fine gas was and 3/4 it ran died and wouldnt start again i choke it pumped the gas nothing

Racing carb comes with all 4 screws set to random settings. you'll have to back them all out a crazy number of times to 'bottom them out' (even though they visually keep rotating) then put them all forward a set number of clicks. I forget exactly what number of clicks, see tuning guides.

so should i bottom it out on the lean or rich side?

...I think it goes without saying, but always check your fluid levels throught. Oil, brake, clutch, coolant, etc.... Those have stopped me a number of times.

all fluids are fine i twisted each screw 55 times do i need more?

It's a "cat & mouse" game. Lot's of test driving, lot's of "stop & tune". Take your toolkit with you. You will find the sweet spot soon. Me: I have a "driveable" car right now with the racing upgrades, but it's still not great. You really have to put in the time and patience to "Git Gud". I dont think they come with random settings.

idk i have them tuned to 13.2 and it still dies
