Can't add oil

I've gone over the entire engine. Everything is attached. All the bolts are tight. I have no extra parts left over (aside from bodywork and the muffler that I haven't bothered to install yet for reasons). I can't add oil to the engine. Take the cap off the valve cover, upturn the container and the meter doesn't go up. I HAVE to have overlooked something but for the life of me I can't figure out what. (The car does run, but I won't dare run it for more than a couple seconds without any oil in the pan) And yes, the oil drain plug is tight as well. I cranked that down as soon as I installed the oil pan.

oil drain plug bottom of oil pan 13mm bolt i think (large in centre of the pan) tight ?

Yup. Was like the second or third thing I checked. Drain plug is tight too.

well if the progress bar is being displayed its working, your probably just not in the exact right position for the container to empty....

OK I have no idea what happened, I loaded up my save and now it works. Either I didn't have it lined up exactly right (the hitbox detection in this game is more than a little wonky) or there was some kind of random bug. Either way I'm good now. Thanks for the help!

Just an FYI. I don't know if this is supposed to happen this way or not.. but I have noticed that I can't fill anything with any fluids from a container unless I'm holding the container updside down. Someone might want to confirm this but this seems the way it is.

The angle of filling it is kinda wierd. Also, is the bottle empty?

If it happens again. Try detaching and re-attaching the rocker cover. That worked for me ;)

Also, quick tip to everyone.
* If it says that you have a problem with your exhaust when you're at the vehicle inspection. Don't use the racing exhaust, cause it's not "legal" in the game. Replace everything from the headers to the muffler back to stock and then it works. (Restarted and retried with the racing exhaust like 5 times.. DOES NOT WORK)

* If it says that your parking brake has a problem at the vehicle inspection. Make sure you've tightened the bolt underneath the car that attaches the handbrake to the regular brakes.
Do that if your handbrake keeps popping off when clicking it as well.

I have tried everything here and its just does not move (the oil fill bar). This has happened to me before and I had to start a new game to fix it. Anybody know what to do?

if the filling bar shows up, but doesn`t fill, something must be loose an dripping oil.
if you can`t find it, upload your savegame on filedropper.com, post the link and i`ll take a look.

i finally got it but i don't know what did it i just worked when i went on the next day.

im also having this problem, my car was wprking great until it caught fire and the pistons broke, after fixing the pistons i can no longer put in any oil, Before that the oil would empty before i could even drive from tiamos to home any idea how to make oil last longer?

When a piston breaks it usually puts a nice hole into your engine block and or oilpan.
