The engine starting on fire?
I know you pee on it to make it stop, but whats causing it? - I have to restart to previous session everytime it happens. I have fluids topped off and water pulley, alternator, air filter, and radiator scrwed in, comfirmed. The engine starts up fine, fyi.

Please help, and thanks if you can! :)

It is getting too hot, and then overheating, and then catching on fire. Most things in the world (cars included) catch on fire when they get too hot.

Considering you didn't mention a fan belt at all, did you attach it? The fan belt drives the water pump, which cools your engine. Car is not drivable for long without a fan belt.

It is overheating. You need to stop the car from overheating. Tune the carburator more richly.

Keep in mind the stock radiator is not meant for driving at high RPMS for any period of time. The racing radiator is much better at dealing with fast/hard driving.

I bought a racing radiator before, and it somehow disappeared out of the car. :\

Could his fuel pump not be properly attached and spraying fuel all over a warm motor?

God, I love this game. Even on an actual tuning forum that would still be hilarious. =)

I think we've all seen it though. I know someone who torched a Camaro that way.

I only had the car catch on fire once. I had all fluids and everything mentioned here installed correctly. The motor had only been running for 30 seconds or so and I decided to start driving the car (obviously). I got about 100 feet down my "driveway" and flames started shoting out of the hood. I dont think it had been running long enough to over heat.

Anyway, when it happend I quit without saving, loaded my game again and checked everything in the engine bay. The only thing I could find was that I forgot to bolt down the ignition coil after installing the engine...and no fires since!

Well that would do it. LOL. I've been reading about what causes the fires before I start the game so that I make sure I don't have my car catch on fire. XD

Since this conversation there have been alot more things added that could cause your car to burn. Before you really only could by having something not bolted on properly. Now you could probably have everything assembled correctly, but have a really worn part.

something similar happend to me, i had finished my rally build.. (keep in mind i didnt have working headphones and my pc's speaker wasnt working) so i tuned it myself (already disaster waiting to happen) and set off about halfway down the little hill outsite the driveway when the thing caught fire and exploded almost instantly, i got out though.. i didnt have a fire extinguisher so i all i could do was watch it burn to the ground.
